Riders started out on the road going CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, giving everyone a chance to re familiarise themselves with Honda’s flagship sports bike.

Honda Racing UK riders Tom Neave, Glen Irwin, Ryo Mizuno and Takumi Takahashi were in attendance, riding with the press, providing insights and putting in fast laps for the cameras. Following the road legal Fireblade ride, the media then climbed onto the Superstock version, as ridden by Tom Neave.

Journalists then underwent a fitting session for the Superbike. Handlebars and pegs were positioned to suit and levers placed exactly where each rider wanted them. Following a briefing from crew chiefs, riders rolled out onto the challenging 2.6 mile Cheshire circuit.

Honda UK wanted to show the strength of the bloodline between road and race bikes, allowing the motorcycle press full access to the race bikes, riders and crew ahead of the BSB season to show how confident and proud of its work Honda is.
