Up close, the CB1300S engine shines with a matchless quality of finish the.It is capable of 225km/h and is secure under braking. The brakes make stopping easy even when the total weight is increased. The relaxed, upright riding position is ideal for all-day travel and the fairing does its job well. The passenger is unlikely to suffer, the saddle and suspension offer good comfort, as do the smooth gearbox and clutch.

Honda's CB1300S range has been crafted to resemble the motorcycles produced by Honda in the late 1970s. The small fairing is modelled on that fitted to the 1981 CB1100RB.
